Don't worry OP /sci/ is on the case.

At t=0 h=-ab=6 and a+b=k where k is your multiple choice. Now you have 2 equations and 2 unknowns which hopefully you can manipulate into a quadratic and solve by yourself.

-ab=6
a+b=result

b=4, a=-1.5
result = 2.5
-a*b = 6

You have three unknowns, unless you are planning on doing it up to four times, which is a very inefficient method, and if it weren't a multiple choice question unreliable.

There is a formula for the extremum of a second degree polynomium which will tell give you the equation 0,75=(2a+3b)/2/6 which gives you the second equation.
You could also look at the roots which are a/3 and b/2, then you know that the extremum is in the middle of those two roots which means that (a/3+b/2)/2=0,75. You might recognize this as the same equation from before if you just(don't know the English word) expand the fractions by 6.
