Depends on the person, I found emag relatively easy but the two hardest classes I have ever had are...
1) digital electronics (CMOS logic, using physics to calculate delay, ROMs/RAMs circuit designs) and...
2) analog electronics (BJT amplifiers, cascode amplifiers, current mirrors, type A/type B etc power amps, overcurrent electronic protection)

Both were taught by an incredibly brilliant Russia prof that seemed to have an endless supply of new and horrifying exam questions. He released old exams but they were are so different and difficult that you basically had to know all of Sedra/Smith Microelectronics to do well.

why are odds miniscule of getting into medicine at 17? is this an amerimutt thing

>> No.10684652

>>10684630

Yes it's an Amerimutt thing. You see, in civilized countries you can go to medical school right after high school but in the USA you need to go to university for 4 years, and then after your degree you go to medical school for another 4 years. So basically the majority of Americans who go to med school are in their early 20s when they start. But despite that a few universities have created special programs where basically you can get an early "guaranteed acceptance" to medical school. You study something like biology or humanities for a few years and then you go to medical school. So you are not exactly in medical school at 17 but you will be by 20. It's typically very difficult to get into these programs though because they are so few, don't accept many people and the people who do get accepted come from rich families. America's education system is weird.

You don't go to a top school. Econ is the same experience everywhere in undergrad. Hardest part about econ is networking :^)

Have you been to a low tier and a high tier school? What was the difference? And if you say teachers I'm going to laugh.

This is an upper div class after an exposure in lover divs. The class starts from Titus Andronicus and ends with The Tempest, reading about 12 plays, one each week. We also read contemporary commentaries of the nature of theatre and articles about historical events that influenced Shakespeare's thinking.

Essays and final were 85% of grade and there was no homework. I came into the class not knowing how to analyze specific lines of poetry for meter and enjambment and such, but I already knew how to get overarching themes out of works.

I had to improve on the first skill in order to work towards an A, since I got a lower grade after the instructor told me I had to take specific passages and analyze them, as well as what I was already doing (e.g. showing allusions in large scenes, overarching themes).

Top universities grade inflate though. Still good job though since getting into a top 10 is the important part. I did my ugrad at princeton.
