This, I've noticed mathmaticians and physicists pride themselves on rigor when in reality they just bait dumb normies so they can appear to be harder classes. Chemists, philosophers, programmers tend to be higher iq when you cut away all the fluff

>> No.10644018

>>10644014
You can tell what's an upper middle class person by the number of college degrees they possess. Just look at their salary.

You can tell a high-IQ person by the number of hours of time they spend taking classes. Just look at their GPA and IQ.

We can see it all here. And again, if you're an upper middle class person like me and work in my field of math, you probably work about as hard as a low IQ person. To some degree, you may be doing something right.
There is a simple way to tell: do you look dumb to the average Joe working at a restaurant? (A higher IQ would have a higher GPA)

Computer chads love math classes, nerd.
They're our easier classes to pad our GPA while we tackle the much harder CS classes.

Combinatorics is also pretty cool.

People like OP wanted to be game devs but weren't good enough for the cs degree so when they got kicked out of their cs program and where forced to major in math they decided to project themselves onto other cs majors and mock them to try and justify the new major they where forced into.

I am 3 year and a half years in with 1 year to go. What do I do? Transfer to a better school and push my graduation date by two years??

It's not just that math is better. It's that it's purer. You are just puckering up to suck some corporate cock to be a wagie who will be replaced by some poo. You are literally investing in turning yourself into a commodity.
People who can't appreciate the beauty of mathematics are the real autists, or, the lower functioning ones who go to alternative high schools and snowflake their way into college only to show everyone by turning into a faggot who works 100+ hour weeks for a company that will lay you off without a second thought.
Wherever a mathematician may end up, they certainly weren't auditioning for the role of dick sucker the entire time, nor taking the easy way out like just art people.
You can believe whatever you want about IQ, difficulty, and so on, but characterologically, you are a failure.

I must be an atypical CS student then. My reaction in similar cases is often quite the opposite. But then, I realize I could be a better fit at a mathematics degree.

Really hope CS has something interesting to offer.

I don't know what you're always kvetching about because for all practical purposes, Computer Science IS programming. Yes, you learn a lot of theory and a lot of math but when you finish your job is 99% like going to be prpgramming. And also, I'm sure civil engineering students aren't thinking about how exciting it is going to be to memorize different types of rebar and how now to name them so I don't see why you single out CS students.
