I do this on command all the time. I have glasses so pushing my focus closer to my eyes isn't a problem and I've read white blood cells can't absorb/refract/whatever blue light into your eyes, so looking at a bright blue sky and focusing close to your eyes is the best way to do it. It's like a free light show every time I go smoke a cigarette. So, those pictures are made out of tiny repeating patterns. You can make this pattern overlap onto itself by slightly crossing or relaxing the eyes (depending on the type of picture).

Infinite concentric circles of infinite number of petals spinning around and inside each other pulsating at ~60hz with infinitely diverse wavelengths of infinite color existing simultaneously while occupying all 3 dimensional points in all points in time. Like looking at all points in time (all combinations of all possibilities) simultaneously with easy ffw and rw ability. It doesn't really make audible sound because out emits all possible wavelengths simultaneously and cancels itself out - you can still hear it but it's more out a perceiving the sound as an energy wave within the matter between you and the energy source. I can spin the ball on an infinitely diverse range of x,y,z axis to infinite possible positions. The only catch is rotating the ball requires manually rotating the column and background in the opposite direction. You don't actually rotate the ball itself, it rolls against the column's surface. I can also moved the ball up and down but it's very exhausting to move it even a small distance and the amount out concentration required increases geometrically the farther it moves from its resting position. It rolls too.

The human eye isn't optimally designed so you have natural blind spots in your eye where the optic nerve connects and where blood vessels are. If you ever went to an optometrist and they shine that blinding lights in your eye and you see this weird spidery thing in your vision you're really seeing your own optic nerve.
Your visual centers in your brain edit these blind spots in based on available information so you never percieve theyre there. This is the same reason why you never notice natural blinking, or the stochastic blindness that happens whenever your eye moves.
You can "trick" this part of your brain with a regular pattern, unfocusing your eyes and keeping them super still.
The only lasting visual impairment I suffer from eating too much acid is that once in a while I'll have some tracers momentarily... That I'm aware of anyway. Since I don't ever start threads on /sci/ means I have a negative diagnosis for schizoid behavior.
