I'm willing to fucking bet that this chart would look very different if, say, Japanese people sought therapy at the same rate as Americans. I'm not going to say that your central thesis is wrong but that certain cultures vastly underreport certain conditions is well-known. Conversely, some of the more liberal social circles in the west are more accepting of mental health issues than most-any groups that have ever existed. Mental health being destigmatized to the point where people can share things like "yeah, I have ADHD haha" without suffering as a result is bound to increase the rate at which people seek treatment.
