I studied physical engineering and therefore had to deal with all the STEM autists.
And I tell you what, socializing with people from all walks of life made me a significantly more competent employee than my STEM colleagues, who can't hold a conversation without sperging out massively.
As an engineer you very often have to deal with management retards to whom you need to explain complicated mechanisms in baby talk for example.

I scored 132 as a child and I live in Venezuela (average of 84). I can easily interact on a surface level with virtually everyone, but can't have meaningful conversations with anybody. So, I assume, you were referring to the later, in that case: move out of the country (if you value deep personal interactions that much).

I don't think 130 is that impressive, it's what I have (found via actual testing years ago) but thanks to mental illness I don't think I'll do a whole lot.

The people who have real trouble are 140s and upwards, actual geniuses. People like this practically need handlers and they usually get them some way or another as lab assistants, understanding teachers or good wives.
I'm told I'm very good at speaking to children, don't know where I got this ability but it's probably related to being ADD and having an utterly childish sense of humor. I just revert to being the silly dickhead I secretly love being.

Only advice I can give you on speaking to dumb people is stuff you or others reading would already know, but just in case. Also feel free to add if you know anything.

- Don't reveal "powerlevels", if they're talking about stuff you think you know a lot about just let them go at it instead of really trying to wow them or impress them. Bumble along the conversation at their level and nod and smile and "yeah ah-huh". They won't appreciate you nerding out and will probably just secretly resent you for it. Unless they're asking you directly in which case they'd like it and tell their friends you're smart, but don't overdo it. They're easily impressed.

- Don't try to initiate socializing with them if you don't have to. It's better to be seen as silent and in your own thoughts than some irritating smartass, this relates to the first point.

- Dumber people (once again if you have to interact with them a lot) can appreciate you acknowledging their usefulness for things. Laugh at their jokes if you can, or if one did you a favor then publicly appreciate them for it in front of their peers if it's appropriate.

I've just flatout said on occasions "I try and know about this stuff, but you seem to know a lot more than me".

To give an example. I was at an art show a few years ago and speaking to one of the main event artists. She had realistically painted a number of weapons and I identified the AK model she used and she remarked on me knowing that kind of shit. I found that I was probably sounding like a wanker when I corrected her on what some models were, so I pivoted to "but I couldn't paint them like this, look at the attention to detail where you've made sure safety is in the right position (a mistake artists always make), the muzzle break is on correctly and [other details]".

So now shes the expert and I've acknowledged that in a way other eyes might not see.

Then when she spoke later she publicly appreciated my remarks, but I very easily could have fucked that up by looking like a /k/ sperg.

Details like this are tiny, but they matter.
