Is my toe science? I’ve had a weird growth since Easter 2016 and now it’s hit a weird homeostasis where every 2 weeks I have to use tweezers and a blade to cut and “strip” a portion of my nail near the swollen area. I’ve hypothesized that the increased production of pus for three years as strengthened my immune system but I think there is more research directions available.

Physician here.
It needs amputated. Please consult a general surgeon.

You're going to need some agar plates.
Try putting some pus onto your other toes or in your mouth and eyes to see if it spreads.

It hasn’t spread in almost 3 years, I doubt it’s root cause is an infection.

I’ve been to one once. 11 litocaine injections and they hit the limit they’re allowed to administer to an adult, it was still extremely painful.

No joke, you got cancer man. That shit's going to kill you. You think it's just your toe, but tiny malignant cells are floating around in your blood and attaching themselves in your organs and brain.

Go to dermatologist and get your nailbed killed on the side. Both sides for me worked a treat.

OP here, thank you for all of the responses. I should add that I rarely change socks and wear the same doubles up pair in heavy work boots every day. Once one pair is “crunchified” enough by all the leaking blood and pus I’ll switch the pairs with my other foot and soften the crunchy toe areas with sweat, this is also usually a two week period. I’ve been meaning to go to the VA but I’m hesitant as the only way I’ll allow a doc to fix this mess is with me being unconscious. The last time I went in was about a year ago and some navy corpsman stuck me 11 times, twice hitting whatever bone is in your toe. I explained that I had phantom injection pains since then and they were like “oh yep that’s indicative of nerve damage” and I literally cannot allow another needle near my toe while conscious.
