Although its obvious hes triggered I can understand why someone would be mad if people are claiming to have a mental illness claiming it makes you a genius when you work with people with the disorder that talk to themselves,stare at walls, shit themselves, smear shit on walls. My brother went into psychosis and has yet to recover, so it genuinely pisses me off that people romanticize this type of thing, the thing is you can't function properly with shit like depression or schizophrenia your motor functions are fucked.

most people aren't mathematicians, scientists or even scientifically literate at all, even basic scientific discussion like that of /sci/ is probably enough to scare and confuse most people. so when someone claims to use ''logic''(often basic observations about the world, that confirm an already presupposed conclusion) and use relatively simple language to explain difficult concepts that empirical sciences can't completely(or concisely) explain, the average anon obviously feels smart(er) by understanding this reasoning, no matter how batshit insane it actually is in reality.

There is supposedly a correlation between schizo genes and IQ. Einstein had both schizo and autism genes. There's a lot of them in undergrad science and engineering courses, usually believe they are the next great genius, look down on other students, and some really freak out when they lose points on labs and tests. After one REALLY bizarre encounter I talked to a friend who is a licensed psychiatrist about how to handle these people and what I was told shocked me. The long and short of it is this: you can't reason with them.
