usually a first offence doesn't cripple you academically but a second offence is pretty serious. at my university if you get caught cheating the first time, your final grade gets reduced by a certain percentage (I think 20%) and presumably whatever you cheated on will get marked 0. the second offence is when you would actually get expelled for a long period. in any case, fuck people that cheat on tests. in my experience it is almost always indians, male and female.
