You can have genuine interactions with normies and gifted people though because you’re within 30 points of both. I can only interact properly with people like you and geniuses, which is probably why the valedictorian was one of my best friends in high school. Normies think I’m fucking crazy. Whether or not it’s a requirement for success, IQ makes a difference because it decides how you interact with other people.

Well yes, of course high intelligence is a predictor for success. I just meant to point out that good work ethic is much more important.

Real red pill incoming, by can't-build-muscle anon™.

Effort is pretty much useless and almost always eclipsed by the genetics component in nearly every department in life.

For example I've been lifting diligently for years on a solid diet and couldn't induce hypertrophy at all to save my life, and according to recent research I found out that 25% of the population can't build muscle at all.

Likewise I was always told as a kid that work was important. Little did I know that (((they))) did it only to better enslave me. Indeed, recent research suggests that, by far, the most powerful predictor of life success isn't hard work or conscientiousness, but IQ. (Also, on a side note, conscientiousness is also heavily dependent on genetics, and so is any other trait).

In short, humans have as much free will as a thrown rock following classical mechanic laws.
It's all a stupid meme perpetrated to get much more out of you than (((they))) deserve. Don't get caught up in silly propaganda playing on people's over-inflated egos who think whatever they do will end up amounting to something of value.

I got an 82 on the schools IQ test in 6th grade. I worked my ass of in school and used to get a head start in classes by looking up the syllabus and going thru stuff during the summers and winter breaks. I would still barely pass and was a C student. I'm just dull and I struggle with a lot of everyday life things. I get lost easily in both senses of the world and I once missed my bus and tried to walk back home which was about 15min away. I got confused and ended up out till past midnight when my mom called the cops for them to find me and take me back home. I'm "nerdy" and i like science and thought I would become a chemist someday and even managed to finish a BA in 8 years but boy oh boy is life a struggle. I've been fired from every job unless its service/menial industry. I cant even do telemarketing cause it was too confusing for me to do it the tasks quickly.

You do realize that an IQ of 120 is in the 90th percentile for the population and above the 50th percentile for college graduates? Is your post just a humble brag, because a 4.0 GPA is not unreasonable for someone with an IQ of 120 unless you're a physics or math major.

>> No.10489461

Your mistake op is in thinking that ones iq is static when it has been proven that you can actually raise your iq level through hard work and having the mindset that improvement and growth is possible, if you had taken an iq test before you started working hard and then taken one a few years after you worked hard in school I bet your iq would be higher, where as the people who initially had high iq’s then stagnated probably had a decline

>> No.10489660

I am enslaved against my will by my genetics. That's not a reason to make it worse and let kikes walk all over me (Anyway it's not like I decide which worldview I endorse. I only have the illusion of being free but I really have no control over anything, political views included). I have literally zero wiggle room to build myself independently of the cold, unforgiving laws of the cosmos. And this is also true for pretty much anyone. Heck it has decided that I couldn't build muscle so here I am not experience hypertrophy ever and I can't do shit about it. Attitude is irrelevant and genetically determined too

>> No.10489667

Shilling free will is bad for the same reason telling a fat man he can win an Olympic sprint is bad. It’s the special snowflake you can do anything you want attitude. It also contradicts with the Bible and the free will old Christians spoke of was something completely different. They didn’t believe your free will could override God’s will and break logical determinism. 25% of the population can’t build muscle, landwhales can’t win Olympic sprints, and telling people they’re magical and can break reality with their will is dumb. Free will is a great way to guilt trip people though and convince them everything is their fault, you sadistic bastards.

>> No.10489669

Even if the universe is deterministic, the only way to live practically and have any chance at achieving anything is by conducting yourself under the belief you have free will. No truly successful person will act as if they have no free will.

This is what matters. It feels very much like people who are infatuated with the "we don't have free will" idea are looking for excuses to not give their effort. It's a Pascals wager sort of situation, where if you assume you have the power of your life you might actually make something. If you don't then that's sealed.

This was my experience as well. I thought I was really hot shit coming out of high school, and then I went to University of Alabama, which is pretty garbage on academics, because they give OOS students a ton of money and holy shit some of my classmates were so much smarter than me. They went on to shit like graduate programs at Cambridge, Harvard, or jobs at NASA/Microsoft. It really put things into perspective for me.

What I will ALSO say is that each one of those people that achieved a lot worked incredibly hard at what they did. It's nearly impossible to tell how of the gap between us was worth ethic and how much was innate intelligence, but was definitely a lesson learned on where I stood relative to other people.

Any time I worked hard and became the "best" at something, I knew it was only because someone more talented wasn't around or didn't put in the work.
