First dimension is just one spatial plane/axis (line)
Second dimension is two spatial planes/axes (square)
Third is three spatial planes/axes (cube)
Fourth is three spatial axes and one temporal axes (a cube existing in normal time)

I don't know if we know the rest yet but those are the ones that directly affect us

We're technically in four dimensions. Space and time are sort of two sides of the same coin, but we perceive space and time differently. We can move up and down, (one dimension) left and right (second dimension), and forwards and backwards (third dimension), but we also "move" forward through time at a constant rate. It's a different sort of "moving", but it's considered the fourth and its own dimension.
