GO!
Mine: hair releases excess heat, that is why I let it freely grow.

>> No.1045278

Comfort is scientific, right?

I suppose...? I was speaking in terms of physics and/or chemistry

>> No.1045295

I'm too lazy to shave it, so yeah...

>> No.1045296

I have none, I just like beards. That and I'm lazy, overall it's less work to groom a beard than to shave errday.

>> No.1045297

It's also prickly. So i'm cutting mine off. You should also check the heat conductive properties of hair.

>> No.1045299

because Iook Fucking Awesome

>> No.1045300

>>1045267

That is in fact the opposite of true. Hair is meant to retain heat; it's why we get goose bumps.

>> No.1045303

Doesn't hair trap heat? As in, it reduces airflow over your skin, so less heat is lost.

>> No.1045311

>>1045295

This. But my gf hates it cuz of the stubbliness. wat do?

(inb4 shave it for the girl DUH) You underestimate how lazy I am. I'm posting on a science board where threads are completed deleted in a few days making everything you write on here futile.

I don't really grow hair very fast on the face....I shave maybe twice a month, and since its blond nobody knows I have stubble

now my hair...its pure laziness. every 2-3 years I cut 10-12" and donate it to locks of love, I've made 3 donations and I'm only 25

>>1045303
I imagine it conducts a little heat away from your skin but not much.

Your woman is thinking too much, that's the root of the problem (lol... root).

I want to be a female.
Facial hair isn't very feminine.

neckbeard is a heat trapping mechanism for critical area in the body. Removing it would the body to add excess fat to preserve thermal equillibrium(like what happens with older females necks). Also, shaving everyday is like fighting gravity.

>> No.1045533

I shave because my job demands it, Having to wear supplied air packs generally requires a clean seal.

>> No.1045537

I shave my facial hair BECAUSE OF SEXUAL SELECTION

>> No.1045538

Shaving means extra effort. I let it grow to save energy.

>> No.1045541

No real scientific reason outside of aesthetics. I grew out the beard once (minus the neckbeard, which I keep shaved), people said I looked better with it, so I kept it.

>> No.1045582

I shave it for better aerodynamics, at least at weekends when I tend to fly in the face of reason.

>sexual selection
Didn't work for millions of years, since you have that beard

>> No.1045601

Body hair serves no function anymore (that's why we have clothes), so I shave it. Just keep the head hair because it's fabulous.

We had clothes since 40000bc

"hair releases excess heat, that is why I let it freely grow."

its for insulation fuktard

insulation. Thats why africans are mostly bald chested. even their females have really short hair

>> No.1046634

I shave. When I don't, nobody believes I am twelve.

>> No.1046646

it's uncomfortable
