Is "STEAM" a meme?

>> No.10370885

The Natural Sciences and Mathematics ought to be separated from their applications. Technology and Engineering fit better along with bricklaying, plumbing, and iron-welding than they do along with theoretical physics.

>> No.10370932

The non-meme unironic answer is that schools in the 2000s were getting big budget bonuses with "For STEM classes" as the title, and the humanities were getting scraps. What the art fags decided to do was say "aye bruh what if we use art to bring a new multicultural and inclusive perspective to STEM for the benefit of mankind", so that the invisible big-dicks in charge of budgets and shit would say "I hear the new buzzword is STEAM, lets write these budgets with bonus cash for STEAM shit". Now the new fiscal year budget comes out and says "15 billion dollars for STEAM shit", and instead of the engineering fags getting new multimeters or whatever, the degenerates in the art departments get new canvases to draw rainbows and black dicks on.

Replace Art with Economics and it would make a lot more sense. Good economics uses concepts like Game Theory and complex mathematical models like the subdiscipline econometrics.

But honestly I feel like we should split fields into "Theoretics" "Practicalis" "Humanitas" "Virtus"

>Theoretics
This should contain all fields that deal with sciences that aren't directly applicable and instead focus on research, academics and publishing papers. Physics, Most of Chemistry but also philosophy should belong here.

>Practicalis
Every field that has direct applicability on life. Engineering, Economics, Medicine, Trades and Skills should all go here

>Humanitas
All fields that are about humans and everything they do and did except if it has direct practical applications. History, Psychology, Law, Archeology etc.

>Virtus
All fields that are about creative expression and idealism. Art, Gender studies, Women studies, etc.

This way there is a rational objective divide in different types of educational institutions since these things are a lot more interconnected and related to each other. And would also break up the "STEM is great and the only thing you should go into". Because what people usually mean when they say that is that you should get a practical degree that is directly applicable.

Art isn't inherently idealistic, the big issue is what counts as art. Many pieces convey actual messages or thesis. It's a form of visual rhetoric and should be under humanities with literature rather than gender studies

i'm reminded of the areas in the midwest where they put up tons of solar farms and then when the usual rains came, the grounds that the rain would have normally soaked into instead pooled up on concrete and wound up flooding the road system.
stemniggers never think of any factors outside of their discipline.
