Mathematics is the superclass over physics, so studying pure math, even without care to physical applications, still can apply to physical sciences.
There of course exists an infinite set of true propositions that have nothing to do with the laws of physics. That's just because mathematics is the superclass over physics (the mathematical ideal world is more fundamental than the physical universe, and completely contains it).

Early clamping of the umbilical cord causes reduced verbal IQ, there is a mechanical basis to people's difficulty here, However it's actually pretty simple. If you understand what you're saying and where it all fits, you can't really have difficulty explaining it. How could you? People can pull all kinds of lawyerly and worm-like tactics, legitimate arguments from real perspectives, whatever the case may be, but it's trivial to rapidly respond if you understand how things fit and the logical relationships and bounds that exist around them.

Philosophy is basically just the art of arguing now that it's seperate from math and the physical sciences.

Philosophers learn to desconstruct and analyze linguistic/semantic constructions and can use the conscious understanding of the structure of human communication to run circles around people using language intuitively. The obverse of this is that you can get really good at "philosophy" by arguing online for many years. If anything the latter approach is better because you get the same understanding without having to memorize a fuckload of pointless garbage special cases just because of their perceived historical importance.

Krauss' has also said:
>In fact, I've got more sympathy with your position than you might expect. I do think philosophical discussions can inform decision-making in many important ways, by allowing reflections on facts, but that ultimately the only source of facts is via empirical exploration. And I agree with you that there are many features of human life for which decisions are required on issues that are not scientifically tractable. Human affairs and human beings are far too messy for reason alone, and even empirical evidence, to guide us at all stages. I have said I think Lewis Carroll was correct when suggesting, via Alice, the need to believe several impossible things before breakfast. We all do it every day in order to get out of bed – perhaps that we like our jobs, or our spouses, or ourselves for that matter.
