I'm a metaphysical naturalist. I don't believe in anything supernatural, be it souls or anything of that sort.
Is there anything exciting and spooky in science which could be inspiring? I find the world to be a very dull and boring place.

Unironically your lifestyle. Spit out the silver spoon, and see how much fun a life of uncertainty can be.

If you don't believe in anything supernatural what does the metaphysical part mean? Are you using your own definition of metaphysical

I believe the abstract notions are equivalent to subsets of the physical world. They're merely information encoded in the physical world.

Look up near death experiences (NDEs)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Near-death_experience
Consider it a challenge to find a scientific explanation for these phenomena, both their specifics and why there is a kind of uniformity in experiences with similar themes across history and cultures. I don't think the supernaturalist explanation is substantiated enough but the natural explanations aren't good either

i find quantum physics inspiring. and just the general fact that we actually _know_ that the standard model is an effective theory for some theory of everything that we still have to find out.

another thing that i kinda find inspiring about an anti-supernatural view on life is that we're all just a part of the universe, so instead of worrying about death and being gone forever, you can just think about the universe continuing happily on and your body becoming one with the rest of the universe again (and what i mean is your remains decaying and going back into the ecosystem)

A coping mechanism that would have been useful for our ancestors. Considering the original humans were hunter gatherers they would have experienced death all the time, and if they survived it, then it would help them to survive afterwards.

Efilism

Fuck efilism. Wanna know what's more depressing than continuing the march of existence no matter how painful or miserable or depressing? Fucking quitting out of a pathetic sentiment of depression. You wanna view humanity as cancer only capable of destruction? Then satisfy your own perspective by fucking killing yourself.

Because of the theorem of consistency

even if it's a boring supernatural, a supernatural is guaranteed

define intelligence

Not really. It fits well within neuroscience, it doesn't need specific addressing when it is addressed by coincidence. It's still really interesting and fun, because it's something we do and can experience. I get sleep paralysis a lot, and I've slowly trained myself not to react with uncontrollable dread when I attempt to move, and can't, and feel pain/needles all over as a primally struggle. I like experimented with the experiences that can be induced by various actions, I do not think any of it is beyond the confines of my brain, however, that doesn't negate the fact that it's my subjective experience and as such, interesting.

It depends on what you mean by "supernatural".
I do not believe in "supernatural" things either, however there are completely real and natural things that might seem "super"natural to the uninitiated.
