I got really into trip reports, after taking LSD several times weed for a while and mushrooms once.

The mushroom trip was poorly planned and went terribly so I stopped taking these drugs, but the stories and accounts never stopped fascinating me.

There are some obvious clinical results for people interested in this regarding treatment of mental disorders and becoming more spiritual; some of the crazier things I've heard were:

Cured my addiction to x (up to heroin) - junkies everwhere

Allowed me to get tan instead of sunburned - Dr. Andrew Well

Permanently alleviated my stutter - Paul Stamets

What could possibly be pinned down scientifically about the mind from studying people on psychedelics? No over arching ideas please unless you can rationalize the.

Don't know about the science but personally mushrooms force my brain to make connections and patterns and face "truths" that I've figured out subconsciously
