Conciousness is fucking wacky. How does conciousness work? If I could theoretically transfer your cells and more specifically brain cells one by one to another body, at what point would you cease and at what point would you rematerialize?

Consciousness resides in the thalamus

Fact that somebody is knocked out without thalamus doesn't mean consciousness is product of "it"

thats a weird way to kill someone, but you can't really talk about "you" in these scenarios with defining what you are.. which you can't reasonably do

consciousness is the eternal soul. it's also not science. try >>>/his/ >>>/lit/

Consciousness is a process, not a thing. Its seeming continuity is an illusion.

Interactionist dualism is the only theory of consciousness that makes any sense.

It works as a constant network, connecting those who realize it is a 'softer' pattern match.

Basically it is like OKCupid for your memory and thoughts. You just can't control direction and etc. because it needs to remain a stable idea.

Fuck is going on with this board talking about consciousness and souls, eternity and utter BS.

I though this was a fucking science board, not my local Church.
