Guys, I really need your help. My mom works the graveyard shift but I've seen her mood change alot. Does anyone have experience with insomnia or just sleep deprivation. I dont know how to help her other than telling her to sleep 8 hours in the day at least. Im really worried

get her some blackout curtains, a sleep mask, and earplugs/a white noise machine and make sure she isn't disturbed by stuff like phone calls while she sleeps. See if your doctor can get her a prescription for something like Ambien, Lunesta, or Sonata if nothing else works.

It's pretty common for shift workers. She's not getting enough daylight and her body is having a hard time regulating it's patterns.
Get her some melatonin and 5htp suppliments and encourage her to get some sunshine on her face in the day when she can.
And remember to tell her how much you love her, because your mom deserves to hear that shit from you.

Dont make me cry man, this past year was really tough and I dont want to see her mind dwindle away. Thank you for the advice, I will try to organize her day to help her, maybe some yoga in the sun will help her relax a bit
