10294463 No.10294463 [Reply] [Original]

would it be possible to keep the brain of a frog or toad alive in a jar full of its blood? or does it need other stuff too?

>> No.10294466

>>10294463
It needs water since its a frog, just mix some water in with the blood and youre good

>> No.10294469

>>10294466
that's excellent I'm glad it's not that complicated. unfortunately now for the complicated question, how do I reconnect the stringy bits of another frog or toad to said brain?

>> No.10294470

>>10294463
Blood would need to be oxygenated and you'd need a way to supply the blood to the brain. There's a video of some Russians removing a dog's head and keeping it a live for a while, pretty cool.

that's pretty fucked up why would someone do that to doggers?

>> No.10294475

side note, does anyone know of a good frog or toad sedative that isn't just getting it drunk because so far my experiments have proven unsuccessful in that regard and if I can't even get the damn toad asleep my plan will never come to fruition

how did they do that? reconnect the stringy bits?

I don't know they details but they would've had to reconnect all the major arteries and nerve tissue.

It was honestly more disturbing watching the head lick its lips and try repeatedly to whine without being able to.

I watched it years ago and it was nowhere near as gruesome as a terrorist beheading video. Still, I have no desire to watch it again.

Stop whatever joke "experiment" you are attempting, you clearly don't know what you are doing and you don't have the equipment necessary.
It also seems you don't even have basic biology knowledge and you want to do something as complicated as a brain transplant?
Stop abusing those poor frogs and kill yourself

>> No.10295878

It is possible to keep a brain alive without its body, yes.

https://www.technologyreview.com/s/611007/researchers-are-keeping-pig-brains-alive-outside-the-body/

>In a step that could change the definition of death, researchers have restored circulation to the brains of decapitated pigs and kept the reanimated organs alive for as long as 36 hours.

nonsense, as long as the humors dont cross it is very possible.
if I were to apply a leech to the toads body and burn a mushroom in front of its nose the humors would be balanced during the experiment.

with enough matches yes
how about you leave real medicine to the ones who have real tangible experience in it?
you know how many frogs are in my basement?
I'm willing to bet you dont have a single frog in your basement. in fact I bet you dont even know how to apply a leech. go back to playing pic related

Ketamine is a popular recreational drug. Youll find it on the darkweb for like 16 eurobucks per gram (should easily be enough to sedate a bunch of frogs)

how do I make it? dont feel like giving my gold to some hoodlum for what all I know may or may not be the sedative Im looking for
my main problem is extending how long the toads survive and honestly they arent lasting that long once I get them into my basement
sometimes I only poke them for a few minutes and they perish
getting them drunk doesnt seem to help much either
I know the problem isnt the humors because I havent reached far enough into the experiment for that to be a problem its just keeping them docile and alive
I fear I will forever be stuck at the first phase of my plan

In order to do research you have to be a scientist you basement dwelling retard, you are just a dropout playing god and thinking you are hot shit for putting some frogs under glass.
