The only thing that matters is scale when it comes talking about infinity and reality. Distance through space is just a concept of scale and relativity. So if we can keep on looking at smaller and smaller "things", then we are essentially proving that infinity exists, or at least proving that we can't yet say for sure it doesn't. Greater scales aren't even really possibly for us, hence why we seem to be confused about infinity at our own scale (distance to something, ie, edge of the observable universe).

We are just a socially grouped organism with limited intellectual capabilities and sensory functionality; we are incapable of grasping the idea of something "greater" than us.

Here's a challenge to the finitists: how many natural numbers do exist?

You can't say an infinte amount, because you argue infinity doesn't exist.

You can't say as arbitrarily many as I want, because for any given number, I can prove by counter-example that another number exists.

You can't say you don't know, because if you don't know how many naturals there are, how can you write down a proof by induction and be sure you aren't relying on non-existent numbers, or the converse, that you aren't writing down a weaker version of the proof that you could be writing down, because you are not applying the thesis of your proof to some numbers that do exist and it could be applied to, but you aren't considering?
