Oh man, conspiracy theorists on /sci/.

People are always talking about malthusian catastrophes and how we'd all be better off if stupid people (i.e. creationists) were either dead or deprived of voting power in here. I'd laugh my ass off if the Illuminati are real and using /sci/ as a recruiting ground. Then I'd join the Illuminati.

you're right that certainly does sound like a nuclear explosion

was probably just the sea floor collapsing since oil was coming out but no more water was being pumped in

Same here. Like those faggots who keep talking about the New World Order.

I always ask them how i can find them, cuzz i wanna join, but they always just say "omg! why would you do that?!?!!?"

I could believe it. One of the original plans to seal the well (I think I remember the Russians suggesting it?) was to detonate a nuclear bomb in the rock a bit away so it would cause a shift in the rock, sealing off the well. Thought I do believe it would be awful if they weren't telling us about this, and I don't know where BP would get a nuclear bomb from.

>> No.1023081

>>1023022
No they don't. The distinguishing feature of seismographs of nuclear explosions is that they start with a huge spike and fall off almost instantly to things adjusting themselves to the sudden energy. Earthquakes, on the other hand, take a while to build up to their apex.

>> No.1023086

>>1023045
Barak "HUSSEIN" Obongo gave BP a nuke without telling the American People about it. Seems likely.

>> No.1023097

A nuke going off would have destroyed the entire thing at once and killed Everyone on board rather than just blow up part of it and cause it to be lit aflame until it fell over and sank. That and the US military would have gone berserk since ya know, they KNOW what underwater nuclear blasts look like.

BUMP FOR KNOWLEDGE SHEEPLE

>> No.1023715

I just looked through the page of charts on OPs link and it is pretty interesting to see how the shit propagated, there's huge spikes all around the southern US and central america, and more dampened spikes in a radius around that. asia and the south pacific show almost nothing, but somehow norway, greenland and ukraine all have large spikes? how is this?

>> No.1023729

>>1023715
Seismic vibrations travel differently throughout the layers of the Earth, and actually refracts at specific boundars, so there's some areas with less waves, but then you go further, and the refracted wave is there.
