Would you guys take a job in Antarctica just to have a glimpse at what might be going on down there?

I've noticed a number of job postings offered by a defense contractor advertising work in Antarctica. They require physical, dental and psych tests before you're even considered.

I'm really fascinated with the mysteriousness of Antarctica and wondered if I should apply.

The piramids and caves that show evidence of humans not too long ago for one. The areas deeper in where there might be no ice and where there might be undiscovered fauna and flora are also interesting.

Do you have a source for that? I've not seen anyone particularly credible mention those.

Why the areas without ice, specifically? Those are pretty barren.
You're mostly going to be looking at lichens, insects and microbes out there.
