1019248 No.1019248 [Reply] [Original]

I got into this huge debate with a girl about this. She refused to acknowledge that women were physically weaker than men due to biological reasons. She said it was purely social. Now I know that social plays a role but I'm also sure its mostly biological. What do you guys think?

THE GIRL IS FUCKING RETARDED.
Sounds like maybe girls are dumber too?

>> No.1019255

I think you are very inexperienced with women to take them on an argument. Lol for women thinking logically...

>> No.1019270

male body builders are, on average, stronger than female body builders.

>> No.1019281

First of all differences between genders are usually Gaussian Distributions, they are not absolut. Further she is definitley right that a lot of it due to social influences. Exactly how much of it is I am guessing neither one of you knows, so either shut the fuck up or ask an expert / read a peer-reviewed article about it.

Btw: the concept of gender is vague anyways, as the human species can not easily be divided into two categories "male" and "female", as most people think it can

XX and XY, holy crap i just did it.

I'll be waiting for my Nobel Prize

>> No.1019313

though if people started out the same and socially the women weren't doing the physical work and the men were, they could have evolved differently to adapt to specific roles

but no, it really is mainly a biological factor

it's impossible to get a definitive answer without "rebooting" the whole of homo sapiens from scratch and making it an even field for both genders to see the result

There are people with XXX and XXY etc. Those are not the only combinations, now gtfo

The strongest man will always be stronger than the strongest woman. The average man is stronger than the average woman.

You're an idiot. XXX is still a female as the other two X will be deactivated and turned into barr bodies. XXY is still a male (Klinefelter's syndrome) though as all the male determining factors are on the Y.

IN GENERAL, NIGGER! I hope you said "in general", women are weaker. Anyway, what did she mean by social reasons?

...purely social?

Yeah, in the 14th century maybe. But modern-day men are not expected to exercise any more than women. I never work out ever.

Also, she's mixing up cause and effect. Men have been historically cast in more physical social roles BECAUSE they're physically stronger, not the other way around.

>> No.1019372

Well obviously it's largely biological. Social factors include that girls build their muscles through excercise less often, because they like to leave the heavy lifting to us guys right.

But it's biological, as well, just like how chicks have more fatty tissue than men. More muscle means less room for fatty tissue, and thus decreased fertility, too. It's basic biology, your friend is retarded.

Oh for fuck's sake, enough with this endless trolling.

As for op, your fault for getting into an argument with a girl about gender. You're (mostly) right, but good luck persuading her that.

>> No.1019388

Derp do women have thinner shoulders than men?

Herp do women have smaller frames on which to attach muscles to?

Flerp do women have as much of the aggression producing hormones necessary to facilitate muscle hypertrophy?

There's no doubt women can be strong. But as strong as men? Most of the time the answer will be no.

Truth: Most differences, including this one are both social and biological,

There are further issues aswell, because there are people with both male and female genitalia, etc

The presence of a Y and SRY gene is the determining factor in "maleness" at least in humans and other therians.

And you can classify hermaphrodites as male or female anatomically by which set of reproductive organs actually function.
