They’re not really. It’s a cure so there is no long term need, patients need only one treatment. And it’s not the only toxoplasmosis drug, plus it’s kind of a shitty toxoplas drug that can have serious side effects. Clindamycin, spiramycin, and minocycline as a last line are effective.
