There's a huge range of things taught in philosophy. You can go down a very analytic route and just do logic and wittgenstein, you can do lots of existential philosophy with questions of existence, knowledge and ethics and if you are a complete waste of space you can do """applied""" philosophy and talk about being vegan. The only people who come out of it blithering hippies were always going to be that.

the whole list is a trivial non starter, i never questioned the intellectual value or complexity of learning philosophy, my claim was the low success rate of securing commensurate employment like many other arts degrees. its a bad investment in my opinion. There are plenty of engineers for example that study and share philosophy in their free time and have high paying jobs, while philosophy majors are churning smoothies and cant screw a light bulb (exaggeration relax). Its not a lucrative option, would not recommend any arts degree but it is one of the better ones for sure.
