Only gifted students may post in this thread.
>be me
>be certified 156 IQ by Mensa
>visually sub 110 IQ "homo sapien" approach me during my tridaily feeding time
>"hey dude, can you give me some pointers on next Wednesday's test? I really need to get at least a C. I don't want to repeat EM again. haha"
>How can I give you pointers? A pointer is a programming language object that stores the memory address of another value located in computer memory. A pointer references a location in memory, and obtaining the value stored at that location is known as dereferencing the pointer.
>"...what? no dude I mean-.."
>Oh you mean pointers as in a small piece of advice; a tip. Yes I am fully capable to give you assistance in that manner.
>"..umm yeah. Can you- .."
>At least a C? Are you implying that I am incapable of helping you in getting an A? (even B+ is practically an F for the likes of me). Do you think that lowly of my talents (having received all A since my first spelling test at kindergarten?). I have read Sakurai's Modern Quantum mechanics TWICE before learning Calculus at the age of 12. I have published 20 papers on vixra before starting my bachelors degree in Physics (The ultimate GOD tier degree). You have no right insulting me. If I had been born in your country I would have elevated your people from living in mudhuts and death from malaria.
>"my country? mudhuts? WHAT? Dude I'm from New Jersey."
>I'm sorry but your phenotype suggest otherwise
The university I was enrolled in transferred me to another school. But I refuse to study in a second rate university like "Brown" University. I promptly withdrew (I am sure the academic staff was deeply saddened by my withdrawal). I am now doing my own freelance research on Quantum Gravity. So fellow gifted students how was your year?

There's actually some truth in this post if you think about it, and I will extrapolate: reason one, there is, under the current theory, an assumption that viral organisms (VIRUSES) don't contain life (SOUL), but this is not a freeform assumption to be made, in fact, it is possible that they do exhibit this concept (VIRUSES) (SOUL). Consider that this means that the current theory is wrong/incorrect/faulty/incomplete since it does not account for any possibility like the one I just showed. Afterwards, you can actually start to get to the genesis and core of the idea: if it is not possible to systematically discredit the idea of these beings being alive then who are we to say that it is actually the person in control of what they think? What I mean is, what if all this post (ON 4CHAN) is actually just an expression of that organism (VIRUS) controlling someone, but we call it DISEASE (codename) (DISEASE) like for example in exampli gratia e.g. "ATTENTION DEFICIT (HYPERACTIVITY) DISORDER";"AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER";"BIPOLAR DISORDER";"ANTISOCIAL PERSONALITY DISORDER";"BORDERLINE PERSONALITY DISORER"; et cetera etc. notice all of these are called "DISORDER", but this implies that there is an order which we known - it is known to us, part of our world ONTOLOGY (ONTOLOGY) - that this is the order and anything outside it is the disorder, in fact, the viral organisms may impose their own order and we simply cannot understand it. These DISEASES are just, under my, theory,(), I hesitate to call it my theory as it is just an idea, perhaps anti-theory, in the sense of not being a proposal that I make but rather a different view to the currently accepted one.

Hah! Your lack of understanding of verbal nuance and context as applied to the interpretation of spoken language betrays you as the neanderthal you are.
Those of us with 200+ IQ can easily deduce what someone is going to say, what they meant to say, and the situational-dependent meta-interpretation of what they meant to say within the first couple of words they utter. We can then easily intuit the exact reply that will provide the highest chance of a beneficial outcome in future.
Those of us with 200+ IQ see the worlds as endlessly shifting entangled threads of probability, and we navigate them as easily as a skilled sea-captain navigates a placid lake. The IQlets beneath us are no better than slaves, never understanding that they are either unimportant to us, or evey step they make has been planned for them.
Imagine spending your entire life as a puppet! But of course, that suggestion was rhetorical. I don't expect an IQlet to truly be able to envision the consequences of such an actuality.

Let me translate all this into socially incapable robot for you, as you likely missed some of the finer details of what I have said and are struggling to make heads or tails of my diction:

My research is going well but they still haven't sent me a good looking woman. Also, they took away a lot of the nice things I used to have. In their place, they gave me a burning desire to torture them. Although they may be saying somewhere, "We want him to learn our thing," I am going to use their brutal, brutal, disgusting, prolonged, Biblical suffering to teach my thing to those who see it happen. When I am done, everyone who valued that thing they were teaching, those who overvalued it, will all be dead but the memory of those terrible things i do to them will live on and on and on.

it's good to know there are other gifted students on this board

Couple weeks into calculus 1 now, doing well, already past the chain rule and beyond. Quotient rule was a joke. Product rule remains my specialty.

I ask my professor his thoughts on quantum mechanics and partial derivatives. He's impressed i know about the subject. We converse after class for some time, sharing mathematical insights; i can keep up. He tells me of great things ahead like series and laplacians. I tell him i already read about series on wikipedia. He is yet again impressed at my enthusiasm. What a joy it is to have your professor visibly brighten when he learns of your talents.

And now I sit here wondering what it must be like to be a brainlet, unable to engage your professor as an intellectual peer. All of the deep conversations you people must miss out on because you aren't able to overcome the intellectual IQ barrier that stands in the way of your academic success... it's so sad. My professor and I know each other on first name basis now, but i call him Dr. out of respect.

And yet here you brainlets sit, probably havent even made eye contact with yours out of fear that they will gauge your brainlet IQ levels.

A true shame, but just know it is because i was born special that i am special. I can't help being a genius, nor can my professor. Two of a kind is two flocks in a bush.

I perfected quantumn gravity years ago.

My very intellect itself was so great that war was fought over its existence by nth dimensional beings for being too over powered.

I was so cunning I made it exist through advanced multilayered trans-universal negotiations that would put politicians to shame. I have lied myself out of death and back into it merely to steal his scythe.

To me, your modernist utopia is so petty and obsolete it makes it look like a dilapidated favella. What use has a being made of light for architecture when the entire electromagnetic spectrum is his home?

I know more inane secrets than a fictional wizard and mastered illiusion at the age of six. I found quantumn physics in this universe so trivial that I grew bored and began exploring other worlds. I broke through multiverse with a THOUGHT EXPERIMENT. I can read the minds of lesser beings through working algorithms to reverse information based on their remaining heat signatures. Every electron bows to my whim and dances exactly how I wish it to. I have destroyed and created entire universes.

To you I would be a god. The last time I visited someone on your par of intelligence, it was to laugh at their futile efforts to even begin to comprehend the perpetually expanding conciousness of my being.

I can see past, present and future at once and before you have even blinked I know your intent and your every fiber of your existence.
There was never a need for me to be a student because just by being in PROXIMITY to myself, everything gains master status.

BEHOLD, A MAN.

I then dropped my effort in class to misbehave with my peers in a show of eloquent comedic behaviour and lack of academia esotericism. Any shred of lie is caught by my brain in a very slight amount of subconscious effort and filtered out of existence at my slightest whim. Poetry instead of prose for thoughts as a toy. Every joke a ploy. Conglomeration of onions, oh boy. Awareness thrashing to annoy. Thank the gods for their joy? a gift? I question why I just die but I guess I can be grateful after all. Typing everything down in LaTeX might take a while but I'm quite confident about it. After that I'll just have to find a proper journal, which should be easy.

I don't think he does it to show off, he's obviously very curious about math, but I really don't see the value of knowing theorems that nuke class problems when you don't understand what makes them work.
The point of TA sessions is to give students hands-on experience with how things work.

>I think professors giving classes have a similar outlook.
IMO if priority #1 isn't helping the students learn as much as possible, you shouldn't be teaching. In your example, the student learns more if they know how that theorem works before they're allowed to just use it. In his example, if it's not distracting from the class the teacher should embrace that a student loves the subject enough to learn extra outside of class. That student is likely to test well, so it even makes the teacher look good.

Heaven's no. Us highly gifted individuals (I myself only have 148 IQ; just barely on the 99.99 percentile of intelligence) are merely sharing our experiences with lesser minds that's all. This. I've taken a professionally administered test and only had an IQ of 109. I graduated Physics with a 3.82, but I had to study many hours. It's hard to judge people on how much they actually study outside of class. On the bright side since I had to study very hard to grasp the material, I wouldn't have had such a high GPA, which led to getting accepted to my dream school to work on my Ph.D. I study usually 30 hours or more a week, depending on the classes I'm taking. I even studied for the GRE but got a 160, which is decent but lower than most of my peers. I had a really great LoR, and my GPA though.

It's not that I don't like explaining things (quite the contrary), but I only have so much time to spend.
The way I do it is I say "yes (or no) it will (not) work", explain why in a few words, give the age-appropriate solution, then while the class is working on the next problem, I expand on what he was talking about so that, if they are interested, they can listen and otherwise, they can just tune it out.

This is just the 'why can't we just use l'Hopital's rule' situation. You're making a mistake if you try to tell them "no you can't" for mathematical reasons because the answer is clearly "yes you can".

A curious student or one who really does understand the further material will just keep annoying you at every turn because they are correct at the end of the day.

Instead, you need to tell them that the route you're demonstrating is the one you're also looking for proficiency in, and if they really do understand the further stuff then demonstrating proficiency in easier stuff should be 'no problem for them'. This also protects students sitting on 'Dunning-Kruger' hill from themselves, as something like L'Hopitals rule, for example, can seriously cover up major deficiencies in basic things like algebra.

Most adept professors in their years of teaching know how to handle these things. There has been that "kid" almost every lecture. I myself used l'Hospital's rule plenty of times before it was introduced. I never lost points on a test as my answer was still correct. Now professors will often word a problem on a test in a specific way, "using method x solve for y". Like you said for mathematical reasons you clearly can use it. If a professor marked a student down on an open problem, that's just bad mentorship.

In addition professors can divert or minimize a students question if it doesn't pertain to the rest of the class, because they have done it plenty of times before. If a student asks if we can use x to solve y, the professor really doesn't need to explain the whole theorem as the student probably already has a firm grasp to attempt to use it in the first place.

This is a question to all the IQ denialist in this thread. Which of the following groups would have the highest proportion of people that will successfully complete a PhD in physics?
>1000 people with an IQ of 50
>1000 people with an IQ of 100
>1000 people with an IQ of 150
Each of these 3 groups is accessed starting at high school and all of them will pursue a degree in physics. If you think that all three groups will have about the same proportions of people that will successfully complete a PhD in physics then it's sad to say that you belong to a lower IQ group.

Someone with an IQ of 100 could study 1000 hours over someone with an IQ of 150 and touch their understanding through that.

The 150 IQ will get further as a collective, but 1/4-1/2 will fail due to "smart but lazy", and 1/4 of 100 IQ will succeed, but the rest (3/4) will likely fail

There's a lot of overlap.

Higher IQ tends to produce more successful individuals, but similar to the IQ chart you can make a range of 131 IQ people and find a similar curve between a certain metric, and at that point do you fall on the top or bottom of "131 IQ individuals". In this overlap the top of the 99.9% of 100 IQ may as well be along the top 99.9% of 131 IQ, since both graphs turn into a near straight line at the end.

I'm doing better at a 4-year now after stumbling through community college, but I still feel like a brainlet.

Ha! Foolish peasant, you think you're so great with your 200+ IQ. I'm a certified 400 IQ, I won my first chess match against Bobby Fischer at the age of 7. You're but a small insignificant insect, a triops from the triasic, uncapable of evolving.
I can literally see through walls and telepathically mindfuck Stacy while you idiot little kiddie tries to read 5 BOOKS AT A TIME! Laughable, I can't believe I'm talking with a sample taken right off of the National Natural History Museum of Paris, you should go back there with the likes of you, weak shrimps.
Just by reading your post I can know where you live, your age, your name, when did your grandfather lost his virginity and reply to this post or your mother will die on her sleep tonight.

Heh. I do all of that and also got a 4.0. College is designed for 100IQ to get a 4.0 assuming they study 20hrs a week outside of class which really isn't that much time. Higher IQ allows you to lessen that study time. I'm only 110IQ, so you really have no excuses being 145IQ. You are a waste. Let me guess you're the "smart but lazy" video game nerd type. And yes those types still go to parties/gym, and still manage to be pathetic pos.

How does it feel that I'm close to your intelligence level despite being severely brain damaged? Now I'm going to go die alone, and never procreate and produce IQ 150-200 offspring. Heavens no. I too am in the 260+ IQ range. I was tested as a kid and this allowed me to enroll in the fast track degree programme in my country. I graduated with a First Class degree in Mathematics. Since I was only 16 at the time of my graduation, I also studied Mechanical Engineering. I am about to finish my my second degree 1 semester early. Its so sad that you had serious brain injury. >THINK
Indeed even the dimmest of lights could produce some spark or brightness once in a while. People with sub 140+ IQ physical cannot imagine how us gifted think. I could learn the psychology of women easily within weeks and formulate a sentence that could trigger the part of the female brain that computes attraction. But I do not have the time for that as I am busy with my second PhD. But you are right, the key is the word "THINK". I can merely think of the most ideal girlfriend and the sheer computational power of my brain could simulate said girlfriend down to the tiniest protein strand. There would be literally no difference between my brain simulated gf and a "real" gf. But that would take at least 10% of my brain and since I need all of my god given mental might to disprove Reimann's hypothesis I would prefer not to do so.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existential catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Rick & Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid

I am a 40,000 IQ true genius, and have beaten the devil at his own games dozens of times over without any effort. I have spoken directly with God himself and battle interdimensional demon-gods on the psychic plane of existence that you wouldn't dare come to lest your mind be rent in twain. If you reply to this post or your mother will die in her sleep tonight, I will know and merely fuck her with my mind directly from across the planet. I unravel the entire plot of Scooby Doo before the theme song ends and I have contact with my past and future selves. You need to not lump all natives under one blanket statement. Each iteration of american indian was 5000-15000 years apart. From the top half of south america up to the lower united states, were the more intelligent natives (outliers withstanding, like seqouias syllabary). Most of what people consider native americans are half retarded tribes that needed tech from the more civilized tribes in order to survive.

400? Don't make me laugh. At the age of seven, I was diagnosed with terminal aspergers. During the course of my schooling, the symptoms began to manifest in dramatic ways. I lost the ability to speak, and I struggled academically. My vocabulary was relegated to a small variety of bird-like screeches. I was ridiculed by my peers, especially after my 7th grade teacher bestowed upon me the nickname "pterodactyl boy." I screeched in protest, but to no avail.
One of the symptoms was increased intelligence. 6 years ago, my IQ was measured to be 498.2 +/- 5. Not only did it increase, but it has continued increasing, and it will continue until I either die or lose my sanity. My advanced learning capability has enabled me to develop an understanding of the world you could not even begin to comprehend. When I use my brain to its full extent, it generates measurable vibrations. I once demonstrated this to a live audience using an oscilloscope that was given to me by the University of Stanford as a token of appreciation for my doctoral studies.
I will not be here for long. Once I have absorbed all the knowledge on this imageboard, I will begin my ascension into the next plane of understanding. My mortal existence will become complete, and with one final screech, I will vanish into the air as my consciousness transcends reality. Once I achieve this, my spirit will seek you out, and through the manipulation of space-time itself, it will impart upon you a message consisting of a single word: "Dumbass."
