okay but at pressure suitable for driving you can't really make it explode. truck tires seem to disintegrate occasionally

Like I said depends on psi and hole size
Normal car tires usually are mid 30s psi
But truck and van tires can get upwards of 80 or more

Forgot to add I have hit a chunk of metal and it left a huge cut mark in the tire and it pretty much instantly deflated

It is heat that will usually make it explode. Piercing a tire will not make it explode no matter what the pressure. Not even with a bullet. Driving with los air pressure will expand the air inside. Overinflation by itself or combined with the heat of driving can do it.
