How far can we go with modern computing? Is there anything beyond digital computing? Could we ever build machines that get close to Landauer's principle?

Even digital computing isn't at it's peak, and won't be for a long time... Literally it has no real density now, and computational limit is quite defined by the density, you can argue we've got lot of space, but information takes time to travel space.

Incremental counterborg tactic safeguards. Each may only provide a fraction of a percent safeguardiness but all together and eventually it may be a few percent. Up until you've got a black hole or singularity event horizon and even godlike entities have increased trouble spying on you and stealing your work and manipulating you etc.
