Most available evidence says most people won't use an "automated" restaurant. The entire point of restaurants is that there's people there so it's warm, inviting, and sociable. It's human. It's why sit down restaurants charge $5 more than take out places. If you have to interact with a machine, you're doing it wrong. At that point the restaurant becomes an automat which is going to be completely empty 90% of the time. Empty stores tell customers that there is nothing of value inside and that they should leave, this is a problem stores like Sears suffer from.

On the flip side, these are not problems drive-throughs have. But a drive-through is not a restaurant, it's something normal people use daily and do so primarily for convenience, not socializing. Additionally, in general most of the process is already automated (cows are turned into meat which is grounded and prepared into frozen patties). The only part that isn't is final assembly, although even then in many cases it is not (thinking of KFC specifically).

in the burger video it talks about how they dont hire significantly less people, they just do different things from flipping burgers, they re more sociable, and make sure everything with the customers is running smoothly

Stores are closing down because I can order whole sale shit from china for 1/10th the price of a department store. Fuck off retard.

Only baby boomers give a fuck about social interaction, look where we are, I'm talking to some autist on the other side of the planet who I will never meet. GAAAAAAAAAAAAAY.
