>aerospace engineering student
>start today Aerodynamics 1
>the lecturer is an old bumblefuck at his last year before retirement
>the course is structured like ass
>friend tells me he's going to spend a third of the course rambling about outdated ('70s-'80s) numerical methods for solving the velocity field in simplified turbo machines and around wing profiles
>we'll also have to implement that shit in Fortran or matlab
>he'll also spend no words about the boundary layer
>but that's fine because he's awful at teaching

It's clear that if I want to understand aerodynamics I'll have to study it on my own from a reputable source, so I'd like to know from fellow aerospace engineers if you know any decent textbook on the subject.

Take it next semester if he's retiring this year, or complain to the department because everything is outdated, or do it using more up to date methods and complain to the department of he doesn't accept it
