Is there a genetic link between depression and gender dysphoria?
Whenever I get depressed I feel like becoming a tranny.
But when I'm doing fine I don't mind being male.
Why is that?

>genetic link between depression and gender dysphoria?
More probably a psychological link.

>Why is that?
because when you feel that things are going to shit you dont want to take responsibility and being a tranny makes you feel better, like a coping mechanism.

Why would being a tranny make you feel better?

>Why ?

Look, what i said is a superficial view. Youd need to tell me more why you are a tranny and about your childhood and so on for me to analyze it. Psychology is not just one factor causing all on its own.

>is not just one factor causing all on its own.

i mean to say there are many causal relationships, especially in psychology since your brain and the way you interact with the world are chaotic and complex

I'm not a tranny but when my self esteem is low I really feel like becoming one.

Pretty sure it just depends on the person. I wasn't depressed before I started HRT and I'm not depressed now either, if anything I smile like twice as frequently now

because gender dysphoria is a psychotic illness and depression is most likely a trigger for it

That's because you smile at boys so they can plow your ass after taking the hint.

New identity, new person. Whatever trauma/issues there were stay with the old identity, and the new one starts afresh.

Of course, this isn't how it works in reality, hence why suicide rates are so high with trans people.

I actually smile at girls more frequently because they seem more approachable and friendly usually

I suppose you're right about that.
A new identity.

It seems to me much of what is being called "gender dysphoria" stems from sexual abuse in childhood, especially for men. A boy who gets raped by a man may grow up thinking that if a man was sexually attracted to them, then they should be female instead. Their first sexual experience was of being dominated physically and penetrated, therefore they cannot be male. Yet for the rapist, there is nothing sexual about it, it is purely about power and domination over another person in the most invasive way possible.

Men in the past who would now be classed as having "gender dysphoria" would dress up in erotic female underwear in secret, it would be seen as some kind of kinky fetish that no one could know about, but what they are really doing is trying to satisfy their confusion from past traumatic sexual abuse.

Cut to 2018 and this confusion is now considered some kind of genetic defect where the mind and body don't match, rather than induced by childhood trauma, and can therefore be treated by permanently changing the body. It has become far more socially acceptable to "change" gender, not because it's actually a good idea that will cure a person, but due to society's fear of causing offence or being accused of a hate crime if you don't instantly praise it. What's even worse is that the high suicide rate for trans people is blamed on society not accepting them, when it's actually the blind acceptance that is causing the suicides. These people deserve far better than this, what's going on at the moment is extremely sick and can only get worse unless we snap the fuck out of it.

>it's the all trannies have a sexually abusive history meme
Nope sorry. Not only is citation needed but come on dude, you're like the people who think anyone who dislikes gay people are actually closet homos. You're just projecting because of weird ass views you hold, like a bias.

You're only partially right though
I was never raped. I don't remember it happening.
But I still feel like being a tranny. Maybe it's because I was bullied.
