Couple weeks into calculus 1 now, doing well, already past the chain rule and beyond. Quotient rule was a joke. Product rule remains my specialty.

I ask my professor his thoughts on quantum mechanics and partial derivatives. He's impressed i know about the subject. We converse after class for some time, sharing mathematical insights; i can keep up. He tells me of great things ahead like series and laplacians. I tell him i already read about series on wikipedia. He is yet again impressed at my enthusiasm. What a joy it is to have your professor visibly brighten when he learns of your talents.

And now I sit here wondering what it must be like to be a brainlet, unable to engage your professor as an intellectual peer. All of the deep conversations you people must miss out on because you aren't able to overcome the intellectual IQ barrier that stands in the way of your academic success... it's so sad. My professor and I know each other on first name basis now, but i call him Dr. out of respect.

And yet here you brainlets sit, probably havent even made eye contact with yours out of fear that they will gauge your brainlet IQ levels.

A true shame, but just know it is because i was born special that i am special. I can't help being a genius, nor can my professor. Two of a kind is two flocks in a bush.

Who said calc 2 is hard? I'm in engineering and calc 2 is a sleeper man. It' was literally my easiest class 2nd semester. Everything is straight forward DESU, engineering physics is what you should be worried about if you ever gotta take

all I did was take LSD and smoke herb in highschool and I passed calc I+II in college
however not know algebra very well was always my downfall but the concepts aren't super difficult to get
most of it to me was difficult algebra to solve the problems
the way they teach math anyway caters to autismals because only someone with autism would teach math
just focusing on math is for faggots
math is a tool used to solve problems in the real world

Calc 2 is only a weeder if you're an engineering/CS/bio/pre-med/pre-law/pre-business. It's easy as fuck if you're a math major or something related, like physics.

Your calculus 2 is actually my calculus 1 in one semester. My calc 2 now is all about two+ variable functions and limits, derivatives and integrals.

Conceptually, Calc 2 is no harder than Calc 1. What makes C2 "harder" is that it is all about problems that require hard-to-spot tricks and clever solutions. Even then, most problems in the curriculum of C2 are just the relatively simple methods (u-sub, series tests) with occasional twists. If a person bombs C2, it usually means that C2 is their math first class where they work with tricky, non-straightforward problems that they were not prepared for.

Where I come from, engineering physics was assumed knowledge in first year first semester. Maths classes are the easiest classes you will ever get, and you have to learn most of the classes' assumed knowledge in your own time.

I have a question, I have always had a knack for math. I enjoyed doing it and solving problems but I never felt like any math class was particularly more challenging than any other. Most of my classes on math were pretty much equivalent effort and grade wise, was it because I never took Abstract Algebra or Real Analysis? They both seemed pretty straight forwards though...
