>Is Climate Change happening?

see right there is lays the problem to this entire discussion. The weather is different now than it was earlier today. Today's weather is different than yesterdays. That was different than last month, last year, last decade, last century, last millenia. Sure if you look at the last 10 years or even last 100 you'd say "OMGG look at all the climate change lollll" but try expanding your fucking sample.

the earth has been around for something like 4.5 BILLION years. we've been around (and writing things down) for like 20,000 tops. Thats like a small thousandth of 0.1% of Earth's lifespan. But we burned some fossilized plants starting 30 years ago and oh god we're all gonna die in a fiery apocalypse because al gore said so. How are those tinfoil hats fitting your hydroencephaletic skulls, faggots?

This is interesting. I don't have an answer, but I'll bump your thread in case someone else does

Any human behavioural biologists here?

Explain why I keep having the urge to load Facebook regularly. Even if I feel that using it is a waste of time.

Bumpin'

I don't think it's a difficult question. It's probably solved in one step.

What is /sci/'s take on audiobooks? I find it difficult to be attentive to the recording whilst also doing other tasks simultaneously, which leads me to having to re-listen to a part or segment multiple times. This is not any different from if I would start drifting whilst reading a book, and would have to re-read parts of the book. Do you find them useful, and do you do something special to keep focused?

Just answer me: Do you think your computer will go to heaven when the PSU breaks?

Same applies to humans.

Only that we have arrogance. And imagination. Imagination that made us make up a place we go after we die that isn't quite as dark and depressing as eternal nothingness.

We all die, it's sad, it's a waste but it's something you have to deal with. The more you think about it, the more frightening it gets, so don't.

What's /sci/'s opinion on nootropics?

Do they work on the healthy human brain, or is it snake oil and a placebo effect at best? Also, if you take any, what do you stack, and what is it doing for you? Experience reports encouraged.

Just ordered these and plan to stack:
>1200mg Pramiracetam
>800mg Alpha GPC
>200mcg Huperzine A
>200mg L-Theanine

I know some people will put me on the level of a militant teenage atheist but I just can't help but cringe whenever I hear the term "god particle".

I'm completely fine with people believing in myths and fairy tales made up by sand people a few thousand years ago if they choose to, but can they PLEASE, please keep their religious bullshit to themselves, especially when it's concerning science?

I'm all for tolerance, but it hurts me so much that people spoil the endless beauty of science by involving their little sky wizard. The universe is more beautiful than any man made myths could ever be.

if time stands still in dead does that mean you're moving with the speed of light in dead?
