I'd usually ignore russian shill, but he has a point. Given how much effort US universities have been putting in destroying anything that makes them good (DEI, racism in selection process, legacy shit, campus politics, grade inflation, etc) would lead one to believe their ranking would go down, but they're still at the top despite the bullshit.

I've been here since 04 when I was a teen looking for gore and /b/ was still societally relevant and not filled with pedos and porn. Some legitimately deep knowledge and rabbit holes that have given me spiritual and personal insight that has grown into a legitimate usable knowledge base and led me to researching neuro and cognitive science as well as philosophy, mysticism, occult, spirituality, psychology...etc this all led up to me trying mushrooms, LSD and DMT and that was like throwing a gas can in the bonfire.

When I didn't get into one. I had a 36 act, national merit scholar, straight 4.0 unweighted gpa, sports, etc.
I didn't get into any ivy or ivy tier. At least I go to a tier 2 school that's the best in my shitty state.

From then on though, my life has just gotten worse. Maybe not as a 100% direct result of this, but I think my life could have had a completely different trajectory had I been admitted.
