You can't have these threads in a board as pretentious as /sci/. No one dares consider anything outside what they already think they know, most haven't even tried it or want to so they immediately disregard it as something below them.

But to those that have been through the mandala understand there is something truly captivating about the substance and its an absolute shame that there is so little actual research being made.

>Like "OK, so they're talking about a watercolor picture, but with more red" or something. And then when you finally see the oil painting it takes you completely by surprise
>But you still remember and you try to tell others but how can you describe sight with colors and shapes if in your society you don't even have the right words that could even begin to describe the concept of sight

These are so accurate.

Even though you have explained it so perfectly, it is still impossible to imagine the unimaginable; so the only imaginable response for the uninitiated is to doubt. They probably think that we are mistaken in some way.

Still, DMT doesn't seem have the same effect for everybody. Some experience 'hallucinations' and 'weird aliens'. Others experience a very profound sense of wonder, extra dimensions, and the indescribable.

Even I doubt my own experience when I'm sober. But then I went back, and the spinning mandalas and higher beings were far more complex than I realize I could possibly remember, and they don't hang in space the same way they would in normal 3D space. Memories of previous trips flood back, I once again have that profound sense of wonder, and I feel stupid for having ever doubted myself. I always have an urge to talk about it but always sound like a retarded hippie trying to.

I feel like Jodie Foster at the end of Contact.

Normally I applaud non-STEM people for just being interested enough in science to at least try to learn about it even if it's misdirected popsci, but I draw the line when that shit enters the classroom:

>physics III course drawing to an end
>we're given the option to make a thorough presentation on any physics topic as long as it's approved
>most projects were great and informative (relativity paradoxes, crystallization in supercooling, etc)
>suddenly four students pull up their presentation on the screen
>"Quantum Teleportation"
>hooooo boy.tif
>one guy babbles a bit about how quantum entanglement will be used in the future to teleport information and -- gasp -- even people!

This is where it gets good
>they minimize their presentation and pull up youtube
>spend 3 minutes looking for a fucking video
>it's a popsci documentary with Memechio Kaku talking about quantum teleportation
>this drags on 15 minutes
>the entire time our prof's face got more and more irritated (unusual because she's a kindhearted babushka)

There was a lot of cringing during that video, but the best part of all was when it ended and our professor started angrily grilling them with questions they couldn't answer. It was a good day tbh.

Hey /sci/ I have a problem.

I'm in my 2nd year of a Mechatronics Engineering major and I've just done terrible on an exam, after thinking about what I did wrong I noticed that I've stopped doing my assignments, I rarely studdy, and I've been neglecting all my homework.

How do I find motivation to study and do my homework and assignments again? I'm getting really worried but i just put stuff off over and over again, have you ever experienced something similar whilst in college?

Can we discuss the total energy of the universe being exactly 0?

I want to discuss the total energy of the universe being exactly 0.

This means we will be reborn brothers, as the universe is infinite, and your atoms will live to build another life form!

It is. But it's one of the strongest psychedelics out there and virtually everyone that's experienced it reported a strong sense of awareness shifting and, well, spiritual components. Entity encounters are also extremely common.

Pic slightly related.

New anon here. I tried DMT once, and it was outside of and far away from any state of mind I could have imagined. But that said, I came out of it without a "spiritual experience" of any sort. In fact, I temporarily (for an hour) forgot who, where, what I was and felt as if I were whirling around backward in a centrifuge. It was pretty terrifying to say the least. I'm not saying that's a common DMT experience, I'm just volunteering my experience to you guys as a data point so you faggots can at least gain some new info from this thread. Anyone else have a similar experience? Much different?
