from -pi/2 to pi/2
dy = sqrt2
But from pi/2 to 3pi/4
dy = 2(1-1/sqrt2) = 0.6

Wtf is going on here this graph is insanely nonlinear
The Taylor series is helpful, but insufficiently explanatory
