all life is sacred and when a civilization uses living beings for instrumental ends (like the Nazis did in WW2) then that civilization deserves whatever calamity befalls it.

i'm not religious so i don't know what the bible teaches but i know that the way biologists treat living beings as if they were instruments to be used and abused for advancing knowledge is not ethical. because it is only a hop and skip from animal farming and testing to population level control and genetic engineering of human stock because we are no different from any other animal. the building blocks are all the same and i'd rather not live in a civilization that treats people as instruments.
