But seriously, if you theoretically take a Human zygote and get some restriction enzymes up in that shit to chop out all oncogenes then seal back the sticky ends of non-coding DNA, wouldn't you reduce cancer rates?

Obviously nothing can be done about random mutations to cell-cycle regulators like P52 and oncoviruses, but I think it's possible to reduce the rates of cancer in that way.
