Imagine, if you will: A grown man decides to eat an entire bottle of multivitamin gummies. Not because he thinks he needs to, but because he has the self control of a fucking 8 year old.

What do you expect to happen to him, /med/?

[math]\frac{d(\exp{(dx)}-1)}{dx}\ \ \text{as}\ \ \text{d}x\to0[/math] is undefined. You're basically just using the definition of the derivative in very notationally abusive way.
So:

[math]f(x):x\mapsto\exp(x)[/math]

by definition, [math]\text{d}f(x)=f(x+\text{d}x)-f(x)[/math] where [math]\text{d}x[/math] is very small (it will go to zero).

So, [math]\frac{\text{d}}{\text{d}x}\exp{(x)}=\frac{\exp(x+\text{d}x)-\exp(x)}{\text{d}x}=\frac{\exp(x)\exp(\text{d}x)-\exp(x)}{\text{d}x}=\exp(x)\frac{\exp(\text{d}x)-1}{\text{d}x}\ \ \text{as}\ \ \text{d}x\to0[/math]

This IS an indeterminate form.

I'll leave it to you to show that [math]\frac{\exp(z)-1}{z}=1\ \ \text{as}\
z\to0[/math], which would complete the proof that [math]\frac{\text{d}}{\text{d}x}\exp{x}=\exp(x)[/math]. Hint: use the definition of Euler's number and make a substitution.

Hey /sci/, I need some possible programming help. Let say I have a set of 8 numbers. I have to break up these 8 numbers into 2 groups of 4 numbers. And then I have to find the average of each group. My goal is the best combination of numbers so that the averages of the two groups are as close as possible. Is it possible to write some sort of program to give me the best combination of numbers? Thanks.

ADHD is a survival strategy, isn't it? Or something like that. Dunno.

It's getting over-diagnosed nowadays because of the modern lifestyle. Children are under fire from many outside inputs and inflences - vidya, TV, ads everywhere, etc. - bombarded by information, most of it useless - which makes children not want to sit in (dull) school and be bored out of their minds. Hence they become labeled as "problem children" and stuffed with medication to make them numb zombies.

The solution is not prescription drugs, but a new education system fit for the 21st century's society, promoting creativity and self-expression, not zombification. Guess what's easier to do. Doctors have an ADHD stamp ready, pharmacies are happy because money, parents are happy because they don't have to spend energy to raise their children properly.

What are some good places to study at? Like resturaunts, libraries, etc. Where do you go to study?

I have an important test tomorrow and I can't concentrate in my room (hence I'm making this thread on 4chan).

I would go to my college's library but it's become a social hang out on Sunday nights where people gather to procrastinate on homework and hang out (that place was empty last night but packed tonight). I can't seem to think of any places that will be quiet and have desks.

When using differential relationships why do we do this shit:

m/s/s/s

For jerks a second, instead of this:

m/s^3

I think the latter makes more sense from a mathematical point of view... My report is littered with slash second shit.

Some people think that because they chose a difficult line of study that everyone else is beneath them/inferior in some way, and use the internet as a platform to demagogue about the merits of their chosen field, since no one is willing to listen to them in real life.

and you test it's flammability by setting it on fire, a mix of petroleum based products? that's like testing radioactivity by setting off a nuke, don't do that.

why the fuck would you spray canned air on that? do you have nothing more dangerous to do with it so you toy around with it hoping something bad will happen at this point?

What is reccomended for someone going to university for the first time to ensure the most success during and after it? Besides studying, being organized, not stepping on people's toes and trying to make a lot of beneficial connections.
