Op name another species on earth that can have populations separate from each other for thousands of years, still be able to learn each other's languages and cross breed/have fertile offspring with each other. Protip you can't, that's a set of feature which seems virtually exclusive to humans.

You can find species that can cross breed with each other but rarely do they yield fertile offspring. You can also find species that can into basic communication mimicry to fool other species but rarely are they able to master said communication. However you cannot find a species (technically two concurrent species if the discussion is about races) outside humans (that I'm aware of) that can fully do both despite said long periods of separation.

In order to maintain the mindset that each race is their own species or sub-species one would have to create a new category. Such as "Super Species" to capture the unique set of features that allows Humans/Homo-Sapiens to be able to pull this feat off. However there is no need to create a new category because other species too can have a set of features that is virtually exclusive to them that allows maintaining oneself as a species. The sample population in question was already fundamentally tainted to begin with. So the study Thomas Sowell did was biased. To say the study wasn't biased is to assume African blacks have a 40% single parent rate by default. Even if we are to assume it is naturally higher in blacks than other races Sowell most likely had no resources to utilize to figure out the exact estimate. Say what you will of African blacks behavior towards monogamy but American blacks were engineered to be disadvantaged in that aspect. Blaming it on welfare checks is just a convenient excuse to gloss over a population broken by society.
