Do you agree or disagree? and why

Can someone explain to me why its said that exoskeletons would never work on large animals because something would collapse under its own weight?

I mean obviously yes, the skeleton is heavy. But if the legs are blown up proportionally, wouldn't the insects strength go up proportionally as well allowing it to carry the skeleton?

Whole lotta Kaku hatin' going on. Been kind of wondering why for quite a some time but I suppose it's his outlandish ideas, the waybhe presents them and that overall popsci image.
