It helps that I'm a Mexican-American. I'll probably spew forth some bs along the lines of

God, these responses better work. I mean, I'll probably be a shit-tier applicant (averaging B's in my core science classes). My overall GPA is a 2.93 so far. I'm scheduled to take the MCAT about a year from now, and I'm guessing I'll do about average (28-32).

I'm gonna become a physician, though. Doesn't matter if I go to a shit-tier MD school, or a DO school, or even an international MD school. Doesn't matter if I'm forced to compete for the suckiest residencies.

Here are the real reasons why I'm gonna become a doctor.


1. I'm fascinated by the vast amount of knowledge that being a physician requires. I'll never stop learning.

2. I want to be there for my family and friends. I want to be their one "friend who's a doctor" that can come visit me in my office without worrying about insurance or payment or whatever the fuck.

3. I want to provide financial security for my future wife and kids.

I put some Mr. Noodles in the microwave without water somehow.

Then I went back on my computer and put my headphones on. When the song ended, I heard my fire alarm going off.

Basically, the styrofoam bit completely evaporated, and filled my basement with some really noxious fumes.

I ran in the kitchen to see what the fuck was going on and probably breathed a fair bit of them in. I feel a bit light headed now.

I left the house for 15 minutes and I've got every single window open, and a fan on. The charred lump of noodles and paper lid are sitting out in my driveway.

How fucked am I?
