that doesn't make sense
if [math] R_0 [/math] has size m by 1, then R has size AT LEAST m+1 by m+1
but because R has R at 2,2, the size of [math] R_0 [/math] must be m+1
so the matrix is either infinite in size or there's an error somewhere
