How do I know if pure math is for me?
I also like physics, but one of the parts about math that I enjoy is doing the proofs. I read Spivak and it was very fun.
At the same time, everytime I see some very advanced mathematics I get discouraged because it seems too unintuitive or abstract to possibly feel rewarding. Is this because I can't understand it yet, or do I have to have the interest before deciding on the pure math degree?
