hey /sci/

can you prove the derivative of Y(x) = (-1)^x

is " i * (-1)^x * pi " ?

Genuinely not hmwk...

I was thinking about how wolfram would differentiate a function written as y*(-1)^x = 4 from one written as y = / (-1)^x... and then i realized why in the fudge is y= (-1)^x shown as a sinusoid... I thought that when X is even then y = 1, and when it's odd then y=-1... (i know, herp derp no even and odd in decimals, but that's part of the mystery... )

So when i looked at its derivative... i * (-1)^x * pi

I was even more puzzled, so the function is accelerating by "i*pi", hence the complex plane....

What am I missing here? There's clearly some sort of leap.. where can I read about this?

quick question /sci/

in the register file(RF) of a GPR (general purpose register) CPU, are the registers interconnected?

for example, what steps would I have to go through to execute " copy Ri,Rj "

would it simply be:

controller -> RF
then Ri -> Rj

or is it more along the lines of:

controller -> RF
Ri -> temp register
temp register -> Rj

is the temp memory data register? or just an actual temporary register dedicated for temporary tasks such as these?

hey /sci/
Been on this problem for a while... huge mental block

How do I convert a boolean function from Sums of Products to Products of Sums form??

Example: F(A,B,C,D) = B'D+A'D+BD
In canonical form, in Sums of Products form, I get a long ass function:

F=AB'CD+AB'C'D+A'B'CD+A'B'C'D+A'BCD+A'BC'D+ABCD+ABC'D

which is F=m1+m3+m5+m7+m9+m11+m13+m15 in sum of minterms form.

How the fuck do I convert that shit into PoS form to get the Product of Maxterms form?

Alright, done.

I can't solve it with what I know. Whoever is hiring is probably looking for somebody with a lot more knowledge when it comes to computers and/or coding than me - and that's not saying a lot.
