Am I missing something? Wouldn't knowing that your time is limited make everyone WANT to extend their life, rather than trying not to think about it?

IQ just measures performance, that's why it correlates with success but it isn't the definitive measurement of cognitive abilities and potential intelligence.
a valid and scientific measurement of intelligence needs to be entirely based on physiology otherwise it's just psychology i.e. not science.
hating humanities that pretends and tries to be science is very common in stem and it's absolutely normal, even encouraged

What could I do with a degree in physics? What is the actual landscape looking like? Is it a growing field with abundant opportunities or is getting lucky just a high school teacher's position? What are good subsections of the field? Other options than positions like nuclear?
