I was wondering about something today...

It's difficult to balance on a non-moving bicycle, but easy to balance on a fast-moving one. I haven't got a good enough grasp of physics to understand why this is the case - I would have assumed that gravity would have caused imbalance, regardless of horizontal speed, but obviously that's not the case. So what's going on?

Sometimes I wonder whether or not I believe in mathematics so much because I love it or because I'm afraid of and suck at everything else.
