>Well, the word is a noun. But 'space' is just a model
So it doesn't exist as something real?

>way of talking about locations. It works well as a tool for understanding the natural world.
So it doesn't exist as something that does something?

>Then you are already using the component dimensions of space in your day to day speech.
But that still doesn't mean anything. There's no proof of space.

>There are theorists that are using higher numbers of dimensions to try to mathematically unify together parts of physics that aren't fully compatible with each other. Their work is in progress, and it's still widely accepted that space is just three dimensions.

WHERE IS THE PHYSICAL, EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE OF "SPACE"? This is the last (you) you're getting until you actually answer it.

Apparently I may be misinformed, so please tell me what "space" and "cold" specifically is. You see, there is not a very accurate definition or empirical evidence of this place/thing others are referring to as "space". a couple common understandings of space I've heard of is that it is "the absence of matter", which of course is not a specific thing to be discussed about. Another falls along the line of "is a place/container/manifold/dimension", something that would be more specific if there were actually proof that it were one of those things. Unfortunately these descriptions don't tell me what "space" is and one of them completely contradicts it being definable "as something".

Casimir forces phase-shift spacetime, inducing distributive wave–particle dualities. These waves can be harmonically oscillated by manipulating a sinusoidal transformation using relative eigenvectors. The resulting build-up of zero-point energy will temporarily reverse the angular momentum within a localized radii of the particles.

In other words, we can time travel by sticking two metal plates really close to each other in a microwave, saving the universe from a wrinkly purple retard.

If vaccines were completely safe and the second coming of christ as people claim, then why do we have laws that protect big pharma to damages caused by properly administered vaccines? Why does the government use tax money to fund compensation to these damages?

I just want people to stop acting so self-righteous and admit that the system catalyzes irresponsible actions in big pharma by giving them immunity at the expense of the America taxpayer.

For instance when an asteroid passes by the sun is it not gaining acceleration from gravity and changing its orbit? Why aren't they accelerating constantly in the first place?

>there is no damage to global agriculture

There's actually quite a bit of scholarly material asserting the opposite

Here's just quoting from some abstracts found searching "climate change and food security"

>"increasing temperatures and declining precipitation over semiarid regions are likely to reduce yields for corn, wheat, rice, and other primary crops in the next two decades. These changes could have a substantial impact on global food security...Lobell et al. use crop models to calculate changes in agricultural production to 2030. The results show that climate change is likely to reduce agricultural production"
http://digitalcommons.unl.edu/nasapub/131/

>"Specifically, global water supply and demand as well as the linkages between water supply and food security are examined. The analysis reveals that the water for food security situation is intricate and might get daunting if no action is taken."
http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S030691921000059X

>"Results indicate strong negative effects of climate change, especially at higher levels of warming and at low latitudes; models that include explicit nitrogen stress project more severe impacts."

http://www.pnas.org/content/111/9/3268.short

I mean, don't take my word for it, search it yourself. There is a wide range of potential impacts on food, but it's pretty ignorant to say agriculture WON'T be affected by a changing climate AT ALL

You guys are pretty much on the money. As I said before, literally whole sale quoting the text of the journal:

"As discussed elsewhere, the difference between the twin and population-level models and their underlying assumptions complicates direct comparison of estimated parameters (see Methods). For example, unlike the twin model the population-level approach assumes that all environmental influences are independent among individuals. If there are geographically structured determinates of ability (for example, quality of teaching) that correlate with the genetic differences, then this can inflate population-based estimates of heritability."

However, the thread is filled with troll/ironic retards. Whats the fucking point about discussing paper if people don't actually read the whole fucking thing? Its like playing chess with a pigeon.
