I wish to end energy scarcity (compared to today's standards) by creating a space-based solar company years down the track and then use the money from that to create a nation that basically rips off Manna by Marshall Brain 99.9% and ending material scarcity and poverty (by today's standards)

Hurr durr. No, I don't like the idea of a free market, but in the current capitalist system it really does work. There is demand of something, there is money to be made off it.
The system I'm proposing would be nearly identical to the Australia project in Manna (http://www.marshallbrain.com/manna5.htm)) except that immigration would be tighter than just letting everyone in immediately and that the 'government' can give extra credit to people doing scientific projects and so on.

Well first off, this would be a very laid-back government, maintaining basic laws and automation of factories and power plants and so forth. If there was absolutely no government, it would be very easy for some tyrant to come along and fuck shit up. Anarchy is to government what bald is to hair colour. It is not a viable alternative, just a transitional stage.

People want to be in a world that allows them the most freedom. This includes economic freedom.
You can better your life. The very basis of this society/government would be to allow people to shape their life exactly how they want it, provided it doesn't seriously impinge on others views.
