I started off really good at school, used to get straight A's. But at some point i got burnt out and became the exact opposite.
I started failing all my classes and hard work became impossible for me.

You became so logical that you're above the law, cool. Vote for DeSantis then. Next cycle another caravan will come, another politician will use it to stoke your feelings, another promise will be made, we will discover that trying the same thing for the 18th time still didn't solve the problem, and the cycle of feelings-based voting repeats. Meanwhile, AI is capable of telling that you're right wing because of the fearful/angry look in your face, and you're gonna be proud of that because that's manly. And now repeat: "I am free"
